My hair is 6-7 inches, longer clips definitely would've been better but these work when I just need to get hair out of my face. For styling, they're too small imo. They don't snag on hair when removing most of the time which is nice. Whenever they snag though, it's not much. If you remove them slowly it's fine. Also, if I wash my hair, put in those cold wave perm rods overnight and hold them together with these clips, I'm not sure if they'd rust... probably not?
