At Cosmetic World, we strive for your complete satisfaction with every purchase. If, for any exceptional reason, you need to initiate a return, please do so WITHIN 30 DAYS from the original purchase date. Returns made after 30 days from the purchase date are not eligible. Please note that for quality assurance and hygiene purposes, all purchases of chemical products, hair colors, hair care products, nail polishes, nail treatments, personal items, wigs, and hair extensions are considered FINAL SALES.

We monitor return activity by customers to prevent abuse. If we detect what we consider to be excessive or potentially fraudulent return activity from a customer, that customer may be notified in writing that Cosmetic World will no longer accept any returns from that customer, with or without a receipt.

Return Process by Mail

  1. If you wish to return or exchange item(s) only under any of the below-mentioned circumstances, kindly get in touch with us through our contact form within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  2. Please ensure to include the following details in your request:
    • Full Name
    • Date of Purchase
    • Order Number
    • Name of the Product
    • Description of the Defect
    • Picture of the Product with its Original Packaging
  1. Upon receiving your return request, we will respond to you within 5 business days.
  2. Once your claim is verified, we will initiate the resolution process, which may involve a replacement, exchange, or refund, based on the circumstances.

  • In case of return by mail, we recommend that you ship your item with its original box and utilize a traceable shipping method such as Canada Post, UPS, or FedEx.
  • Please be aware that you will be responsible for the shipping costs from your address to our store. We will cover all other associated shipping and handling fees related to your request.
  • Please review the following scenarios to understand when you can initiate a return for your products.

    Defective Product

    If you receive an item that is defective or not up to our quality standards, we have a policy in place to address this situation:

    1. Contact us promptly via our Contact Form within 5 business days of receiving your order. Include all the necessary information about your order in your email. 
    2. Within 5 business days of receiving your request, we will contact you via email to confirm its validity.
    3. Once your claim is verified, we will initiate the resolution process, which may involve a replacement, exchange, or refund, based on the circumstances.

    Products Damaged During Delivery

    If your shipment arrives with any shipment damage, it is crucial to retain and send us proof of the original shipping box. Please adhere to the following instructions for your request to be authorized:

    1. Contact us promptly via our Contact Form within 5 business days of receiving your order. Include all the necessary information about your order in your email. 
    2. Within 5 business days of receiving your replacement request, we will contact you via email to confirm its validity.
    3. Once your request has been authorized, we will promptly dispatch a second package along with a return shipping label. This label will enable you to return the damaged product(s) to us at no additional charge.

    Customer Remorse Return Policy

    At Cosmetic World, we understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. If you are genuinely dissatisfied with the condition or purchase of an item, you may return it under the following terms:

    1. Return Packaging: We highly recommend returning the item unopened and in its original packaging or box to ensure safe transit. Utilize a traceable shipping method such as Canada Post, UPS, or FedEx for secure delivery.
    2. Shipping Costs: Please note that you will bear the responsibility for shipping the item from your address to our store. We do not cover return shipping costs.
    3. Restocking Fee: Upon return, a restocking fee of 20% of the product's price will be applied. This fee helps cover the costs associated with processing returns and ensuring the product's readiness for resale.

    Wrong or Incomplete Order

    If you receive a product that was not part of your final order or if a product is missing, please adhere to the following instructions for your request to be authorized:

    1. Contact us promptly via our Contact Form within 5 business days of receiving your order. Include all the necessary information about your order in your email. 
    2. Within 5 business days of receiving your adjustment request, we will contact you via email to confirm its validity.
    3. Once your request has been authorized, we will promptly dispatch a second package containing the missing products. When applicable, we will also include a return shipping label. This label will enable you to return the incorrect product(s) you received at no additional charge.

    Return of Incorrect Products

    • You MUST return incorrect products within 10 days of receiving your second package.
    • Cosmetic World reserves the right to refuse returns sent or communicated after the return deadline, or products that are not in the same condition as the one in which they were received. If applicable, the total amount of the products will be charged, in addition to shipping fees.

    Exchange and Warranty Policy for Electrical Appliances

    All purchases of electrical appliances are considered FINAL SALES at Cosmetic World. However, we honor the manufacturer's warranty within its specified time frame, commencing from the date of purchase.

    Please note that these warranties exclusively cover devices with defects detectable at the time of return, not those damaged during use. Wear and tear resulting from regular use is not included under the warranty. To be eligible, you must retain the original packaging.

    To determine the applicable warranty for your electrical appliance, you can revisit the product listing (the warranty details are located at the bottom of the description) or refer to the information on the original packaging.

    In-Store Return Policy

    You are welcome to visit our Cosmetic World store to process a return for an item purchased in-store or online via Cosmeticworld.ca under the above-mentioned circumstances. This can be done within 30 days from the date of purchase. When coming in for a return, kindly ensure you bring one of the following with you:

    1. Original packing slip.
    2. The receipt from your in-store purchase.
    3. Order or Shipping Confirmation email.

    Additionally, please remember to bring the debit or credit card that was used for the original purchase. Our team will be happy to assist you with the return process in-store. 

    Refund Request

    If your order is eligible for a refund, our team will promptly guide you through the necessary steps and provide detailed instructions. It's important to note that all refunds will be issued in CAD (Canadian Dollars), regardless of the currency, shipping location, or billing country associated with the order. Please be aware that slight discrepancies may occur due to exchange rates or handling charges imposed by credit card companies or banks. It's essential to understand that Cosmetic World does not have direct control or responsibility over the final credited amount to your account.

    The refund will be processed within 7 business days, and if applicable, you will receive an email notification. The credited amount may be reflected in your account within 7-14 business days after the refund has been issued. However, the exact timeline may vary depending on your bank and credit card company.
